Supporting the construction industry with UHPC in crisis areas

UHPC is very suitable for processing recycled building
materials. Raw materials are in short supply, particularly
as a result of wars or natural disasters in large cities or
regions. But there is an abundance of destroyed buildings.
This gigantic mass of building rubble could be recycled
and effectively reused as an aggregate for UHPC binder.
First attempts at mixing show very good results.

Likewise, many war zones are in areas that have a lot of
desert sand, but extremely little river sand. With UHPC
desert sand binders, a concrete processing industry can

also be quickly established in these areas. No gigantic
investments or large production plants are necessary
for this.

This new UHPC recycled concrete or UHPC desert
sand concrete could be extremely interesting for local
precast plants. All types of concrete construction
elements can be quickly manufactured with this
concrete. Depending on the environmental conditions

and the composition of the raw materials, the cast
concrete elements can be removed from the mold
after approx. 48 hours and transported to their
destination.

UHPC binders could accelerate the expansion of new
infrastructures such as airports, seaports, roads,
bridges, residential architecture, storage areas, coastal
protection, tunnel construction, etc.
