A unusual UHPC experiment

A customer of ours asked us for an unusual UHPC experiment. We should put in a standard cola can one flat iron from the top and one from below. The two flat irons must not touch each other in the cola can. The flat iron should be untreated on the surface, as slightly rusty. The Cola tin should then be filled with a UHPC cast material. The addition of fibers was allowed.

The UHPC material should cure for a maximum of 24 hours. After 24 hours a flat iron should be attached to a crane hook and at the other flat iron weights of 1to and 2to were attached. The respective weight should hang in the crane hook for at least 2 days without releasing one of the flat iron from the UHPC.

Both weights hung a week in the crane hook without problems.

We also did a similar experiment with polished metals. The loads were increased in these experiments to 10 to without causing damage.
