It is a project from 2010 in Denmark.
A UHPC castable material quality with a compressive strength of
150 MPa / 21750 psi and 475 kg/m3 / 30 lbs/ft3 steel fibres for joints creating a “monolithic” joint.
The Joint width was 100 mm / 4 inch, used rebars had a diameter of Ø 16 mm / 0.6 inch.
Extension of Aalborg University in 1996 |

Full strength is reached in 3 days.
With the on-site casting of the connection of the pre-fabricated bridge deck elements with UHPC, an extremely strong connection is achieved.
The total package of prefabricated bridge deck elements and UHPC connections between the elements makes installation easier, faster and more cost-effective compared to standard design methods.
We work on various bridge projects, new construction and repair, here in the USA. We would like to have UHPC material from you to test. Some DOTs (Department of Transport) have heard of you and some have not. Where in the US can we get this UHPC casting material?
ReplyDeleteDouglas from ASANTE is our partner in the USA. Please contact him. He has a UHPC material warehouse.
