UHPC foundation for a high tech CNC machines

For a German manufacturer of CNC machines,
we are going to cast foundation blocks with a
special UHPC Ultra High Performance Concrete
for new CNC machine models.

We have to meet a great many technical requirements
and are currently working on the casting mold. One
of the main reasons why a special UHPC concrete
was chosen as a foundation block material and not
a natural stone, was the defined material quality
overthe entire foundation geometry.

Also need empty tubes for electronics and hydraulics
are laid in the foundation, which would be very risky
for a natural stone. The very good damping factor
was another reason for the decision of UHPC.
The casting is carried out by an local experienced
precast factory and supervised by one of our material
specialists.
The reason for deciding to manufacture the foundation

blocks locally was the short transport route to the
customer.

In addition to the technical and manufacturing advantages
of UHPC, the significantly lower costs were the reason
for a natural stone block and for the UHPC foundation
blocks.
